Our History
When one reflects upon the current state of our world, it is very clear that postmodernism and secularization have taken hold of our society, with obedience to God, belief in God, and love for God waning among many in our population. With nearly 80% of the United States’ population residing in urban areas, it is imperative that the gospel of Jesus Christ be taken to these metropolitan regions through relevant, seeker-sensitive ministry.
The Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW), TX Metroplex ranks as the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States with a population of 7,943,685 (2022) only behind New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; and Chicago, IL. In Dallas proper alone, there are 1.4 million residents making Dallas the ninth largest city in the United States. Given this, the opportunity for ministry is limitless, and it is out of this committed mission that “The Dallas Project” is being launched!
“The Dallas Project” is rooted in Adventist Christianity as founding members of the consolidated memberships of the Dallas City Temple, Faith Temple, and Agape Churches have prayerfully recognized the need to collectively engage in transformative ministry illustrated through dynamic worship, genuine fellowship, and felt-need ministry for all ages and people alike. Moreover, the imminence of Jesus’ soon return further compels members to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks which celebrate institutional history as opposed to embracing future destiny in Jesus Christ through humble adherence to His word.
